1. Construction of CAD systems and development of 3-D automatic mesh generation system3-D magnetic field analysis can be calculated accurately using graphic user interface systems. It is necessary to develop the 3-D automatic mesh generation system to realize the 3-D analysis. So, we constructed CAD systems to recognize the shape of motors visually using work stations.2. Development of 3-D magnetic field analysis systemIt is necessary for the optimum design of motors to clarify the time variations of flux distributions and rotation angle of the armature. Specially, the finite element mesh that is used for the dynamic analysis have to be reconstructed according to the rotation of the rotor. So, we developed the virtual design system for various kind of motors such as synchronous motors and induction motors.3. High speed visualization system of analyzed results using animationsWhen we analyze the characteristic of motors, it is important to recognize these results accurately for designers of motors. It is very difficult to understand the results of dynamic characteristics, because these outputted data are very large. Therefore, the animation of dynamic characteristics such as the flux distributions and motion of the rotor is very useful for designers of motors. To realize this visualization, we constructed the animation system to express the analyzed results using work stations.
