项目摘要

平成11年度中学校における「まちづくり学習」の実践・東村山市立第七中学校3学年選択美術において教師2名,生徒11名,学生4〜6名にて授業を実施・東村山市都市計画課平成11年度事業として位置づけられ,行政からの支援を受けながら実施・毎回授業の様子を「まちづくり学習レポート」として全校生徒,また地域住民へ報告一年間の実験的授業を行いながら,(1)授業カリキュラム(2)手法(3)支援体制等について研究を行った.(1)カリキュラムにおいては,まちづくりという生活や日々の行動が深く係わる学習においては授業への理解・態度に男女差があることを発見した.これは生活のスタイルや興味関心度が大きく関係しているものと考えられる.生徒のまちへの意識喚起を目標とし,市民参加のまちづくりにおいて国内外で用いられているワークショップの手法を参考に新たに開発したツール等を現場で実践し,その効果や反応等を観察しているが,今回明らかになった授業を受ける側の理解・認識の差についてどのようなカリキュラムを提供するかは今後の課題である.よって今後「まちづくり学習」のカリキュラムや手法のさらなる検討・開発を行うにあたり,小中学生の生活スタイルや,まちでの行動範囲らまちに対する認識を明らかにした上で,効果的なカリキュラム・手法を検討する必要がある.(2)体制の検討においては,実際に持続可能な活動にしていくため,自治体において活動の役割を明確にし,地域力の一つとして制度上の受け皿を構築することが可能であるかを検討・考察している.さらに今回の研究を通して,実践現場として東村山第七中学校と本研究室との信頼関係と協力体制の整備を図ることができた.カリキュラム開発という長期間有する研究に対する基盤が整えられている.
