项目摘要

本研究は、日中国交正常化以前の時期における日本の日中貿易促進団体（貿促団体）とその関係者の対中活動を考察し、日中関係における民間経済交流の役割を論じるものである。平成26年度は、前年度に続いて外交記録などの一次資料の収集と分析を行った。2014年5月から2015年2月まで、中国外交部档案館所蔵の外交記録を20000字（手書きやパソコン入力のため、枚数は計算していない）、日本外務省外交史料館所蔵の外交記録を800枚、台北中央研究院近代史所所蔵の外交記録を2000枚入手できた。その大半は、これまでの研究で使用されたことのないものである。また、資料の空白を埋めるべく貿促団体関係者への取材を引き続き行い、平成26年度の研究に最も重要な「LT貿易」と日本経済界の対中認識に関する証言を多く得た。以上の資料をもとに、1963年から日中国交正常化が実現された1972年までの時期における貿促団体の活動について研究を行い、1963年以降の「LT貿易」と「友好貿易」の実施における貿促団体の役割、文化大革命期における貿促団体の変容とその要因、及び1970年代初頭における日本財界の対中傾斜と貿促団体との関係を解明した。研究成果を纏めた「日本財界の対中傾斜と日中国交正常化―日中貿易促進団体の役割を中心に」は現在投稿中である。平成26年度の学会・研究活動として、2014年5月10日にNPO大阪府日中友好協会で「国交正常化以前の日中関係と日本の貿易関係者」と題した講演を行った。また、2015年3月に日中関係学会（関西支部）の依頼を受け、5月16日の総会で「戦後の日中関係と通商代表部問題」について講演を行う予定である。
