ボンディングとは、わが子を愛おしいと思う親から子への感情面での絆である。ボンディング障害は、新生児虐待や産後うつの素因となる。産後早期のボンディング障害は、夫婦関係の悪化と因果関係があることが明らかになっている。子育て期の夫婦関係は悪化しやすいにもかかわらず、ボンディングとの因果関係は明らかにされていないが、夫婦関係と子育て期のボンディングにも因果関係が存在すると推測される。そこで本研究は、子育て期の夫婦を対象とし、①夫婦関係とボンディングがどのように変化するのか、②夫婦関係と子育て期のボンディングに因果関係はあるのかを明らかにすることを目的とする。本研究は産後１年、１年半、２年、２年半、３年のアンケート調査（研究１）と、産後１年、２年、３年のインタビュー調査（研究２）で構成される。2022年度は、産後１年および１年半のアンケート調査と産後１年のインタビュー調査を予定し、Webにより実施した。産後１年調査は183組の夫婦に協力を依頼し、母親101名、父親89名よりアンケートの回答を得た。また、母親60名、父親50名よりインタビューの協力を得た（2023年5月8日現在）予定よりも多くの方から協力が得られたため、インタビュー調査に時間を要したが、協力の申し出があった協力者全員へインタビューを実施することができた。産後１年の調査は2023年7月頃終了予定であるため、終了後データの分析を行う。
