本研究は，特別支援学校（知的障害）の体育授業の困難さを解決するための外部専門家による授業コンサルテーション方法を開発するものである．その構成は，研究１「特別支援学校（知的障害）の体育授業を実践する上で必要な事項の『実施度』『実施困難度』から困難さの実態の解明」，研究２「特別支援学校（知的障害）の体育授業に対する教員の実践に関する困難さの意識構造の解明」，研究３「特別支援学校（知的障害）体育授業の困難さの解決に向けた授業コンサルテーション方法の開発」，研究４「授業コンサルテーション方法を用いた実践とその効果検証」である．令和４年度は，研究１「特別支援学校（知的障害）の体育授業を実践する上で必要な事項の『実施度』『実施困難度』から困難さの実態の解明」を行うために，全国の全ての国公私立特別支援学校（知的障害）の体育主任を対象に体育授業を実践する上で必要な事柄と考える「子どもの実態把握」「指導目標の設定」「指導内容の設定」「子どもへの具体的支援」「学習評価」「チームティーチングの状況」「授業改善」「学習環境」「知的障害に関する専門性」「学習指導要領の活用」についての郵送による質問紙調査を行い，実施度と実施困難度の違いから実施困難の要因を明らかにすることを計画していた．しかし，先行研究を踏まえて暫定的調査用紙を作成し特別支援学校（知的障害）の体育授業主担当教員（経験者を含む）に予備調査を行ったところ，予備調査に協力してくださった方から「質問項目が多すぎること」「同じような内容の質問項目があること」「実施度と実施困難度の違いが分かりにくいこと」「回答の仕方が難しい」等の指摘を受けた．このことから再度調査用紙の作成が必要となり，令和４年度中の郵送による質問紙調査が実現が難しい状況となってしまった．
