项目摘要

本研究課題は、「困難な歴史」としての公害経験を学習・継承する主体形成過程を明らかにし、国内外に発信することを目的とする。今年度は（１）「困難な歴史」の学習と継承の事例に関する既往研究の整理・分析、（２）倉敷市水島地区での公害経験の学習・継承を担う主体形成のアクションリサーチ、（３）大学講義での公害経験の学習プログラムの検証、を行なった。（１）は主に戦争の経験について絵画制作や演劇などの表現活動を取り入れた学習・継承の実践事例を中心に文献を収集し、本研究課題との接続可能性を検討した。また、福島県における東日本大震災および福島原発事故による震災遺産の保存と展示に関わる取り組みに関する研究会を開催した。「困難な歴史」を教育においてどう扱うかは、教育学においても議論が緒についたばかりの挑戦的な課題であるため、アーカイブズやまちづくりの観点も取り入れて研究を進める。（２）は水島地区での地域の歴史を様々な視点から語る地域カフェおよび「水島メモリーズ」の制作過程についての報告と議論を行なった。（３）は大学の講義や演習等で公害地域の多面的な歴史とまちづくりの実践から学習する取り組みにを進めた。（１）を踏まえて学習プログラムの設計を行い、検証を進めた。例えば、研究代表者の担当講義では、公害発生状況において異なる立場で対応を考えるロールプレイを取り入れた授業案を作成・実施したほか、ゼミ活動で公害患者の体験を伝える映像撮影と動画構成の検討をおこなった。研究分担者のゼミでは、水島の公害についての文献学習と現地での合宿を実施し、地域住民とワークショップをおこなって、公害をふくむ地域の歴史を観光案内板として作成する取り組みに協力した。また、日本の公害地域再生に関する英書制作に向け、環境経済・政策学会大会にて企画セッションを開催し、議論を深めた。
