项目摘要

本研究の目的は20世紀初頭の大阪とその周辺各地に見られた近代的遊園地の萌芽、及び郊外遊園地開発の経緯を明らかにすることであり、私鉄・地元資本家・産業資本家の各主体のレジャー・娯楽事業の展開について考察するものである。実施にあたっては関係史料の調査・収集とその検討、現地での聞き取り調査、学会や研究会での報告と論文執筆、の三つの柱で行う。2022年度は大阪都市部における初期の遊園地、私鉄系遊園地に関連する文献、史料の調査・研究を行うことを研究計画とした。2022年度の研究実績は以下の通りである。なお、甲陽園遊園地の研究は当初の計画では2023年度に行うものであったが、次の【現在までの進捗状況】で挙げた理由から、先行して甲陽園の研究にあたった。したがって、2022年度の実際の研究活動として、地元での文献等の調査を中心に、それに加えて、下記の（2）の学会報告の際に新たに関係を築くことができたカフェーパウリスタの幹部への聞き取り調査等を行った。（1）ミネルヴァ書房発行の『入門観光学改訂版』の執筆：本研究に重ねて関西の初期の遊園地開発の関係史料の再検討を行った。本稿は2018年に出版した同書の改訂版であり、本研究の主題である20世紀初頭の遊園地ビジネスの嚆矢となる郊外遊園地の誕生に言及した（2023年夏刊行予定）。（2）甲陽園遊園地についての学会報告：2022年11月開催の「居留地全国大会in長崎」（長崎大学）においてカフェーパウリスタと甲陽園遊園地について報告を行った。（3）神戸新聞総合出版センター発行の『関東大震災と神戸・阪神間』（共同執筆）の執筆：研究方法としては主に地元での文献調査によるものである。主題は関東大震災発生時の神戸・阪神間の描写と首都圏との関連性についてであり、本研究代表者は甲陽園についての執筆を担当する。
