项目摘要

父母の母語が異なる国際結婚家庭に生まれるバイリンガル新生児は、胎児期から既に2言語に接している。母体内での2言語接触が、(1)バイリンガル新生児の出生直後及び6ヶ月後に受動的言語能力にどのような影響を及ぼし、(2)言語聴解時の脳内コネクトーム（ネットワーク）構築にモノリンガル新生児とどのような差があるのかを明らかにする研究である。胎児期のバイリンガル体験が新生児にどのような影響を及ぼすかに関する研究（視線調査等）は、僅かに行動研究で存在するが、脳賦活度に関しては存在しない。モノリンガル新生児とバイリンガル新生児から出生直後と生後6ヶ月後の2度に亘って、行動データと脳賦活データを収集して、二言語接触体験の有無による比較研究を世界で初めて行うものである。初年度は、まだまだコロナ禍の状況が続いており、次年度以降の本格的なデータ収集に向けてタスクの精査の為に、対象乳児よりも年齢の高い児童に対してパイロットを行った。事前に予期できなかった乳幼児対象の研究の困難点が浮かび上がり、タスク及びデータ収集時の実験者の体制面に関する再検討を行い、概ね2年目のデータ収集の準備が整った。
