项目摘要

本年度は、特に日本語の副詞「もう」に着目し、①「もう」とアスペクトの関係、②「もう」の超過用法、という2つのテーマで研究を進めた。①に関しては、「もう」と類似の副詞「すぐ」および「すでに」との比較を行い、「もう」は時の副詞とは異なり、スケール構造を持った副詞であること、および動詞のアスペクトをそのスケール構造によって決定することを明らかにした。さらに、「もう」と他の副詞では否定とのスコープ関係が異なることを示し、「もう」は他の時の副詞とは異なりモダリティ副詞に近い働きをすることを明らかにした。また、「もう」が形容詞を修飾する超過用法については、感嘆文との比較を通して形容詞の尺度構造との関わりについて分析を行った。①の研究実績は、雑誌『日本語文法』において発表を行った。また、国際学会においても研究の成果を発表した。さらに、②についても日本独文学会研究叢書上で発表を行い、2023年6月に刊行予定である。また、本年度の後半は「まだ」とアスペクトの関係について新たな検討を始めた。特に、「まだ」が時間副詞に先行する例を取り上げ、「まだ」のスケール構造はアスペクトだけでなく時間副詞が表す時点とも関係をすることを示した。来年度にかけては、「まだ」の意味について精緻化することを目指すとともに、「もう」と「まだ」がアスペクト以外の動詞の意味、すなわちモダリティとどのような関係を持つかについて明らかにする予定である。
