1.変動水圧作用下における構造物周辺の地盤内応力分布特性について鉛直2次元砂層モデルを対象として基礎的な解析をおこない、変動水圧特性および砂層材料特性に対する応力変化特性を明らかにした。2.実際的な構造物として防波堤をとりあげ波浪による周辺地盤内の応力分布特性を解析し、円弧すべり解析により防波堤の安定性の評価を行った。その結果、波浪による水圧変動を考慮しない場合に較べて安全率が著しく低下することが示された。3.変動水圧作用下における構造物の破壊現象の例としてコンクリートブロックの沈下現象をとりあげ、その特性を実験的に検討し、変動水圧特性および構造物特性と沈下特性との関連を明らかにした。4.床固め下流部等に設置される護床工の沈下特性に対する鉛直上向浸透流の影響を実験的に検討し、浸透流が存在する場合には沈下量が著しく増大することが示された。5.段落ち直下流部の局所洗掘現象に関して理論的かつ実験的な検討を行った。その結果、段落ち下流部の洗掘現象に密接に関与する流れのパターンとしてもぐり噴流状態の流れと波状跳水状態の流れが存在するが、パターンの分かれる限界は上下流水位差が限界水深の2倍になる水理条件のところであり、それ以上になるともぐり噴流になることを明らかにした。また、非平衝式を用いた洗掘モデルにより、非定常洗掘過程が説明され、さらに、平衝最大洗掘深が高い精度で予測できることを明らかにした。6.海岸堤防前面の洗掘機構解明のための基礎として、現地海岸において波の遡上とそれに伴う砂層内の間隙水圧変化の測定を行った。その結果、砂層内においては短周期成分の振幅減衰が大きいこと、砂層表面近傍で間隙水が鉛直上向きに流れ、砂層の液状化現象が生起している可能性が高いことが明らかにされた。

As a result, the amplitude attenuation of short-period component in sand layer is large, the vertical upward flow of interstitial water near the surface of sand layer and the possibility of liquefaction of sand layer are high.
