项目摘要

新言語学の学術用語の標準化を目的とする本研究は、本年度が三年計画の最終年度にあたる。本年度は、過去二年間に言語学の全ての分野から収集された用語について採用の是非、訳語の適切さ、読み片名の妥当性を中心に検討した。同時に、このような検討作業を進めながら、さらに必要と考えられる用語を収集し同様の検討を行った。過去二年間に収集された用語は、多少の重複を含め7,443項目であり、今年度新たに収集された用語は3,607項目である。この総数11,050項目に及ぶ用語について、言語理論・統語論,意味論・機能文法,音声学・音韻論,社会言語学,心理言語学,言語類型論,歴史言語学,計算言語学の八つの部会で関連する項目を個別に綿密に検討を行った。さらに、各部会における検討と並行して、各部会の検討の調整と総合的な検討を行うために、五回の全体会議を行った。昭和60年に出版された重要な文献については、今後新言語学の分野で定着しそうな用語に絞って採用するという方針で検討を行った。最終的に6,124項目の用語を採用することになった。これからは、他学問分野との調整と日本語訳の読み仮名の再検討、誤記の訂正を行って、出版する形に整えていくことになる。
