To find more efficient and effective tereatment methods by classroom reachers. for devient classroom behaviors of elementary school students,3 experimental and clinical researches were conducted.The first research was a preliminary one,which explored the possibilities for more objective and reliable observing-recording techniques in the classroom using portable video tape recorder (VTR).In the second research, 2 second-grade boys who attended same classroom were selected as target children because of their frequent devient behaviors.Their classroom behaviors were observed and recorded by different 2 ways : by VTR and by direct observation. In order to improve these target students'behavior, several discussions about observation data taken in the classroom were held with the classroom teacher, who attempted some experimental efforts.In the final research,the treatment of a 6-years-old electively mute girl was conducted.It was based on fading methods, conducted in 3 different environments: laboratory in the university, child's home,and the classroom where she attennded. Especially, in the classroom, her verbal and nonverbal behaviors were recorded by VTR. These records were analysed at university, and the results were presented to classroom teacher, who worked out this problem - elective mutism in the classroom - step-by-step fashon.
