この研究の目的は、海上輸送システム設計における最上流情報である輸送需要について、その構造を分析しかつ船舶初期計画に適する輸送需要予測の方法論について研究し、その出力を初期計画に整合的に活用する方法を考究することにある。このために、2ヶ年計画のもとに以下の事項に関して研究を実施した。1.国際海上輸送に関する最適な予測方式を探す。2.項目1.に関して、専用データベースを支援する解析ソフトウェアを開発する。3.初期計画のためのソフトウエアを開発し、予測から船舶諸元選定に至る一貫設計システムの考え方を確立する。昭和61年度は、計画の第二年次であり、以下の事項について具体的に作業をすすめ、成果を挙げた。すなわち、a.国際海上輸送需要予測方式について調査・検討することb.上記項目に関して、専用データ・ベースを作成することc.初期計画解析モデルを開発することa.について、既存のモデルを比較検討した結果、地域間輸送については、産業連関分析が自国対世界貿易については、計量経済モデルが適していることが判った。bについては、社会,海象,海図,船舶の4つのデータ・ベースを計画し、この中で最も必要な船舶に関するデータ・ベースを完成した。cについては、船舶性能,経済性,安全性を考慮して、評価値を最適にする船舶諸元,隻数,配船を求めるためのモデルを全体モデルの評価部分に構築し、本研究計画の目的を達した。
