History of solid state physics in Japan - from acceptance of quantum mechanics to foundation of Institute for Solid State Physics

有山教授是日本物理学会的元老之一，他允许我阅读并抄写他1937年至1962年的日记。通过他的日记，我们了解到在日本建立固体物理研究的重要事件和情况：划时代事件的日期，例如，“固体物理学术讨论会”的开始日期，日本国家研究委员会“busurigaku Kenkyu iinkkai”（物理研究委员会）的开始日期，“busurigaku Kenkyu iinkkai”的小组委员会的会议日期和每次会议的记者姓名。领导成员之间的合作情况，等等。我收集的“Bussei-Group Jimukyoku-Ho”（Bussei-Group Bulletin of Bussei-Group Jimukyoku-Ho）也在早期确定了“固体物理研究所”成立的“Bussei组”（固态物理研究小组）的过程和运动。

Professor Ariyama, one of elders of the Physical Society of Japan, has given me permission to read and to transcribe his diary form 1937 to 1962.By his diary, have been ascertained important events and situations in building up the study of solid state physics in Japan:dates of epoch making events, for example, the date of the start of "Busseiron Kondankai" (Colloquium for solid state physics), the date of start of "Butsurigaku Kenkyu Iinkai" (Research Committee for Physics) of National Research Council of Japan, the date of meetings of the Sub-committees of "Butsurigaku Kenkyu Iinkai" and name ofreporters at each meeting, situation of cooperation among leading members, and so on.Also has been ascertained the process of, and the movement of the "Bussei Group" (Group of Researchers of Solid State Physics) for the Foundation of "The Institute for Solid Physics" by 'Bussei-Group Jimukyoku-Ho'(Bulletin of Bussei Group) in early date, which had been collected by me.
