今年度の研究計画に従い、下記のような活動を行い、いくつかのみるべき成果を上げることができた。1 検定試験の制度史沿革および運用実態についての検証。(1)検定試験に関わる全法令の収集・整理を行った。(2)年次別受験者数・競争率・試験実施形態などの展望的整理を行った。(3)専門誌に寄せられた受験生の手記をカード化することにより、彼らのキャリア,受験動機,学習へのモライベーション,必要経費等を知ることに努めた。今後この作業は独自に続行する予定である。2 諸教育雑誌,受験専門誌の収集と整理(1)明治以降の教育ジャーナリズムの中に夥し(記載された文部省検定試験関係記事をコピーし、収集整理した。(2)市販の『文検受験生』『文検世界』等の受験雑誌の所在確認,記事関説を行った。所在確認についてはすべて完了し、リスト化している。(3)日本に唯一セット残っているとみられる『教育修身研究』(昭和8〜19年)について、所蔵者の好意により全巻 冊を借覧し、そのフル・コピーを作成することに成功した。この作業は、今後将来にわたって、中等教員免許制度史,日本近代教育学説史の研究の基礎作業をなすものと思われ、本年度の最大の成果である。〈永福同学の会〉会員へのインタビュー本年度はその一部を実施するに止まったが、同会の中心メンバーとの人間的接触を築くことができたのは大きい。今後機会ある毎に施行してゆきたい。以上の作業は、この未拓の領域への基礎作業という側面をもつ。分析成果の公表は、本年度内に行いたい。
