Outlines of several results we obtained in this study are summarized as follows.1. Residents' complaints about the safety and the trouble by traffic are influenced strongly by the width of sidewalk, traffic volume passing the streets, and the mix rate of trucks.2. In urban traffic management and planning, an important problem is estimating the number of drivers between each origin-destination zone. Especially, for the traffic planning of small districts in urban area, the plate number method is very useful to estimate the origin-destination matrix from observed link volumes.3. We made some observations about the parking behaviours of drivers in the CBD of Saga city, and confirmed the chracteristics of drivers' parking periods correspondig to their trip purposes.4. A new method of computer simulation is developed to determine the optimal arrangement of parking lots in central business district.

本研究取得的几项成果概要如下： 1．居民对交通安全和交通麻烦的投诉受人行道宽度、过街车流量、货车混合率的影响较大。 2．在城市交通管理和规划中，一个重要的问题是估算每个出发地和目的地区域之间的驾驶员数量。特别是对于城市小区域的交通规划，车牌数法对于从观测到的路段流量估计出发地-目的地矩阵非常有用。 3．对佐贺市CBD区域驾驶员的停车行为进行了观察，确认了驾驶员与其出行目的相对应的停车时段特征。 4．开发了一种新的计算机模拟方法来确定中央商务区停车场的最佳布置。
