We analyzed differentiation and maturation of human CD8^+ T cells in peripheral by using a humanized mouse model. Reconstituted human CD8^+ T cells differentiated into memory effector cells which have cytokine productivity. However, effector CD8^+ T cells were not induced upon allogenic stimulation. Therefore, the interaction between T cell receptor and human leukocyte antigen is thought to be essential for effector CD8^+ T cell differentiation.
