The study of the relationship between family relations and maternal awareness in the development of the maternal-child relationship

1. Purposes:to define the developmental process of maternal awareness in the mother while rearing a child from the age of one month to 18 months,and to define the relationship between maternal awareness and family relations.2. Methods:For the mothers in the follow-up group,the following were investigated by questionnaire; maternal awareness,maternalbehavior,state of ego(TEG),self-esteem,family relation(APGER).3. Results:The number of data collections and analyses was 107 of mothers of a one month infant; 104 of mother of a 6 month-year old infant; 97 of mothers of a 12 month-old infant;55 of mothers of a 18 month year-old infant.(1)The nature of subjects-at the time early pregnancy,the averageage of mothers was 29.3 years and the average age of their husbands was 32.3 yeasrs.Working mothers were 22.4%.high educational mothers were 40.5%. (2)Tere was little change in the qualityof maternal,awa awareness and maternal behavior and the content changed gradually. (3)The average ego gram of the mothers showed a peak of ego of nurturing parent for each investigation,but at the 18 month investigation,the score of ego of nurturing parent was decreased while the score of ego of critical parents increased.(4) The average score of self-esteem was approximately 30 at any time,which meant the self-esteem of the mothers was considerably high. (5) The average score of APGER above 7.0 at any time,which defined the function of the family in most subjects was very good.(6) at any time in the study,the significcant relationship was between maternal awareness and the state of ego,self -esteem,and family relations in the mothers.
