計算機科学パラダイムについて、全般的な考察と、特にソフトウェア開発の分野に限定した考察とに、大きく分けて研究を行った。1.全般的な考察については、研究実施計画書に述べた手順に従い、キーワードの枚挙,具体例の対応づけ,パラダイムの体系づけの順にすすめた。現時点では、まだパラダイムの体系づけは十分に行えておらず、あらためてこの問題の奥行きの深さを感じている。全般的な考察の結果は、電子通信学会大学シリーズの一冊,情報処理と電子計算機,に学部学生向き教科書の形をとって、現時点までの研究成果をとりまとめた。2.ソフトウェア開発の分野では、最近特にパラダイムの考えかたが重要視されている。そこで大学院学生の荻原,陳両君の研究指導にあたって、計算機科学パラダイムの研究の成果を具体的にとりいれることを試みた。ひとつはオブジェクト指向システムOndine(オンディーヌ)の開発,もうひとつは実時間システム仕様記述手法の拡張JSD法の研究である。(1)オブジェクト指向システムについては、先発の種々のオブジェクト指向システムについて調査し、それらに共通のパターンをとりだすいっぽう、一般のコンピュータサイエンスに見られるパターンをオブジェクト指向システムからの視点で見直すことを行い、それらのパターンの結合として新しいシステムOndineを設計した。(2)仕様記述については、やはりこれまで提案されている手法の調査から抜き出したパターンと、実時間というわくぐみにはめこむための概念の結合で、拡張JSDシステムを新しく構築した。今後これらの方向の研究をさらにすすめ、ソフトウェアプロトタイピングを含む研究へ発展させていきたい。
