Study on Community Formation by Young People's Community Sport in Rural Society

This study was focused on clarifying how sport activity, which is considered as the most popular community activity, contributes to community formation in relation to other community activities. For this purpose, sport club and Seinendan activity were taken up and made analysis in the study. The findings were as follows:1. Softball and Volleyball are the most popular sport activities to participate for the young people in rural society, and they list tennis as sport activity to participate in the future.2. Sport is the most popular in all kinds of Seinendan activity(learning, cultural, sport, social activities).3. One of the ways for making non-member join to Seinendan is the use of human relation through soprt club.4. The best participants in community activity are the members joined to both sport club and Seinendan.5. Both sport club and Seinendan activities contribute to forming community-consciousness. Especially, members joined to both associations are the most desirable type of people for community formation.
