项目摘要

1.文章の質の良さと結束性との間の関連に関する基礎的考察(1)小学校国語の教科書中の文章の分析を通して, 主題表現の省略と接続詞などの連接表現の生成が文章の質の良さに及ぼす効果について検討した. 特に, 主題表現に関しては, 文章における主題表現の出現パターンについて考察し, その基本出現パターンを明らかにした.(2)文章生成における結束性の考慮を, 文章の意味構造を表層表現に変換する課程の中で位置づけ, その全体的な枠組について考察した.2.文章の結束性の制御方略に関する基礎的考察(1)主題表現の生成を制御する要因について検討し, 主題表現生成の基本的な制御方略を構成した. その制御方略は, まず, 主題表現の出現パターンを, 主題提示, 主題維持, 主題変化と, 主題回復と場合分けした後, 「主題維持中の主題表現は省略し, 主題変化, 主題回復時の主題表現は省略しない」という基本的な方略を適用するという基本的な構成をとる. 基本的な方略には例外が存在して, それらを処理するための方略が基本方略に対する制約として構成される. この制約としての方略については, さらに詳細な考察が必要である.(2)連接表現の生成を制御する要因について検討し, 特に, 接続詞生成の基本的な制御方略について検討した. まだ, 予備的な検討段階である.3.汎用文章生成システムの開発(1)結束性の良さを考慮した文章生成方略を計算機上のプログラムとして実現することを支援するシステムとして, 汎用文章生成システム(Hi-GTG)を開発した.(2)前頁で延べた主題表現および接続詞の生成の制御方略の, その上での基本的な実現を行った.
