项目摘要

この研究はひとが自分のからだを動かす"動作"の過程と、それに関わってこころの中に描かれるイメージという内的体験の関連について実験的・臨床的な検討をするとともに、それを解明する理論的考察の端緒を開くことが課題である。この研究は脳性マヒや重度重複の障害を持つ子の肢体不自由を改善するために我が国で創始された動作訓練法が極めて顕著な効果を挙げたことに由来する。障害児にみられる動作過程とその変化は人間一般の心理現象だとする立場から、ひとの動きや認知・スポーツや心理療法などについて検討した結果は以下にように要約できる。寝たきりだった子がからだを立てられるようになると表情・仕種・態度などが極く短期間で急速に活き活きと安定化してくる。自己が生きる空間ないし世界が大変化するためであろう。自己を基軸としたイメージ操作と外界認知の関係を、特に立体の投影把握・イメージによるリハーサル・動作言語(からだことば)・イメージによる練習、訓練などに焦点を絞って検討した。肢体不自由改善のための動作訓練がそのまま自閉症児の指導や神経症・精神病の心理療法として予想外の効果を挙げることがわかったので、その指導・治療のプロセスや条件についての検討を進めた。何れの場合も、外的客観的な条件と自己活動という内的条件の関係、ことにからだの持ち主である自己が自体および外界環境へ働きかけ、外的制約を変化させる能動的過程として理解できる。本研究の最大の効果は、外界から刺激されてそれを受け取る受動的活動者と考えてきたこれまでの心理学に対して、動作の研究は遙かに多面多彩となる。外界へ働きかける主体的・能動的活動者と据えるからである。さらには、からだとその持ち主である主体者、すなわち自己活動との密接な関係を扱う全く新しい人間科学の一分野を拓くことさえもが、かなり具体的な形で予想されるに至ったことである。
