项目摘要

本研究の第一の目的は人間行動のあらゆる分野に深く関与している"イメージの機能・構造"に関し、物理的・実験的・実践的な多面的視点から総合的にアプローチすることにより、イメージという心的活動に対する説明概念や研究態度や方法などについての各専門領域間の統一をはかり、研究対象としての意義・位置づけを明確にするとともに教育場面や臨床場面への有効な利用方略を見い出すことであった。臨床・生理・学習・認知・教育・発達・知覚・思考心理学の領域からイメージに関するすぐれた知識やデータを所有するエキスパートを動員した統一見解として、イメージの能動性やイメージを生成したり体験している時の質的分析の欠如が、領域間のコミュニケーションギャップの原因であることが判明した。そうした知見を踏え、身体活動とイメージ、教授学習過程でのイメージの能動性についての研究結果を日本教育心理学会(福岡)や日本心理学会(名古屋)で発表した。第二の目的は、昭和62年度に日本(福岡)で開催される第三回国際イメージ学会議に向けて、イメージに関する日本独自のテーマや考え方を発掘し、日本の学術研究がレベルアップするように少しでも各自の活性化をはかることであった。数回の研究発表会や討論を重ね、本研究プロジェクトの全員が第三回国際イメージ学会議のコミュニティメンバーとして重要な役割を果すとともに、別項に記載したようなテーマで、それぞれの分担責任者を中心にシンポジウムを企画し、発表することになった。現在も全てのシンポジウムの採用決定を受け、準備が進められている状況である。
