项目摘要

本研究の目的は, 歴史的価値の高い教育, 文化, 学術関係の映画フィルムを文書資料と並び教育研究の基本素材となし活用するための調査, 研究及び利用方法の開発にあった.この趣旨に則して, 本年度は, 第二次世界大戦期にいたるまでに製作公開されたニュース映画, 記録映画, ドキュメンタリー映画, 教材映画, 激映画(児童劇を含む)の中からとくに史料的価値の高い作品として選び出したフィルムに関する総合的な所在調査を実施し, 収集整理して内容の分析を進めるとともに, 映画製作の社会的背景, ねらい・意図を知る上で重要なシナリオ, 関係者の手記, 回顧録, 談話など周辺資料の収集にも力を注いだ. 同時に, 素材フィルに関する教育研究機関相互の共同利用体制について具体的施行を含めて検討を進めた. 当該時期に製作された関係フィルムの中には, 既に製作を担当した事業体が存在しない場合も少なくなく, 所在確認に相当の困難が伴ったが, 諸外国の映画記録保存機関を含め各方面の協力を得て, 予想以上の成果をあげることができた.これまで, 類似の調査研究がなく, その欠落部分を補いフィルム保存の実態と問題および利用上の意義と展望を明らかにしたことは, 今後の同様の調査研究に少なからざる便宜と刺激を付与するものとなろう. しかし, 映画史料の急速な散逸という緊急性と, 文書と映像との併用による調査研究方法の開発という重要性をふまえ, なお継続して調査研究を進める必要がある.

The purpose of this study is to investigate, research and develop methods of utilization of historical data and basic materials for educational research. This year, in the middle of the Second World War, we produced open pictures, recorded pictures, media pictures, teaching materials pictures, exciting pictures (including children's dramas), high-value historical works, selected works, and comprehensive research, collection, and analysis of content. The social background of the film production, the meaning of the film, the importance of the film, the notes of the person concerned, the retrospective, the conversation, the collection of the data, the force of the note. At the same time, the material is related to the mutual utilization system of educational research institutions, and the specific implementation includes the discussion of progress. In this period, the relationship between the production and the responsibility of the enterprise exists, and it is difficult to confirm the location of the enterprise. The foreign film record keeping organization includes cooperation from all aspects. It is expected that the above achievements will be achieved. This is the case for similar research studies, which are expected to be conducted in the near future. The importance of the development of investigation and research methods and the necessity of further investigation and research.
