项目摘要

この研究の主たる目的は, 高知県香美郡物部村に伝承されている「いざなぎ流」陰陽道の祭儀と祭文(神話)の研究を深めるため, ビデオを用いた映像記録を作製することにあった. 今回の調査では, 秋の予備調査で, 祭りの委節である冬に行われる村落レベルや民家レブルの祭儀予定を調査し, それに基づいて, 別府地区の三十年に一度というムラの大祭や暮れのスス祓い儀礼, 新正月の家祈祷, 旧正月の家祈祷, 土曜の祓い儀礼などをビデオに収録した. この調査の結果, 同じ名称で祈祷師に呼ばれている儀礼でも内容に大きな相違がみられること, 祭儀がきわめて複雑であること, 従来考えられていた以上に, 陰陽道的性格が強い信仰体系であることが明らかになった. しかしながら, 当初予定していた病人祈祷のビデオ収録は, 病家の関係者の取材拒否や都合で取材に行けなかったこともあって, 今回の調査では映像記録化ができなかった. 63年度は, 研究室予算を使いながら, 収録した映像の編集を行なうとともに, 簡単な解説書を作製し, 広く研究者に利用されるような作品に仕上げる予定である. なお, 完成した作品は映像民俗学会で発表する計画を検討している. 今回の調査は, いざなぎ流の映像記録化の最初の本格的試みであったが, 今後も新しい研究計画を作製して, 今回収録できなかった祭儀の映像化を行ないたいと考えている.
