1.文献資料の検討「有機農業」運動と運動した「産直」(産消提携)運動に関する文献資料を入手し分析を加えた結果、「有機農業」の従来の概念規定が曖昧であることと、このことが「産直」運動の類型化にも大きな支障となっていることが判明した。このため、本研究は、新規に社会学的な観点から「有機農業」の概念の再構成を試みることになり、「産直」運動の類型化に当たってもこれに基づいた。その結果、「産直」運動が日本近代化に対する農民の主体的対応として展開されいてる面の社会学的な把握が、きわめて容易になった。2.実証的現地調査本研究は、岩手県西和賀農協の「産直」運動と福島県熱塩加納農協の「産直」運動を対象としたもので、前者に関しては、資料収集と関係者の面接調査にとどまらず、湯田町左草集落において18才以上の全住民のアンケート調査を実施する一方、後者に関しては、資料収集および関係者の面接調査を行った。その結果、「有機農業」運動と連動した「産直」運動の社会学的な特質についての理論的にも重要な知見が幾つか得られた。わけても、「有機農業」運動と連動した「産直」運動が農産物の「自給」運動を基盤として展開されることの意義の大きさの発見は、本研究による最も重要な知見である。本研究は、これにより、「有機農業」運動、「産直」運動および農産物「自給」運動の相互の必然的な結びつきを明らかにしてえたばかりでなく、「有機農業」運動が人間と自然との関係に関して、「産直」運動が人間と他者としての人間との関係に関して、それぞれ、近代化過程における日本農民の主体低対応の新たな内実をなしている点を解明しえた。

As a result, the "organic agriculture" movement and the linkage between the "production" movement and the sociological characteristics of the "production" movement are important to the theoretical understanding. The organic agriculture movement is linked to the production of agricultural products, and the self-sufficiency movement is the basis of the organic agriculture movement. This study is concerned with the inevitable relationship between the organic agriculture movement, the direct production movement and the agricultural product self-sufficiency movement, and the relationship between the organic agriculture movement and the human nature, the direct production movement and the human nature. In the process of modernization, the main body of Japanese peasants is facing the new situation.
