各研究分担者は研究課題「数論的不連続群の研究」の下に一年間それぞれの領域において、研究を進めた結果以下のような成果を上げることができた。先ず代表者竹内は従来から研究していた数論的代数曲面に関する成果を論文“Algebraic surfaces derived from unit groups of quaternion algbras"としてproceeding of 1st conference of Canadian number theory associationに発表することができた。又、分担者奥村は微分幾何学的側面からの研究成果を論文“Real submanifolds of the complex projective space and the normal connection"としてユ-ゴスラビアにおけるシンポジウムにおいて発表した。分担者佐藤(孝)は保型形式論的研究の成果を論文“Jacobiforms and certain special values of Dirichlet series associated to modular forms"として発表した。分担者長瀬は大域解析学的側面の研究成果として論文“Remarks on L^2-cohomology of singular algebraic surfaces"(Jour.Math.Soc.Japan)を発表した。これは特異点をもつ複素代数曲面においても古典的ドラ-ムの定理の拡張が成立することを示したものである。又論文“Note on the metrics in the neighbourhoods of certain hypersurface singularities"(Saitama Math Jour)においては、Varchenkoの意味での非退化特異起曲面の特異点解消法を利用して、特異点の近傍での計量を調べることができた。分担者加古は関数解析的側面の研究成果として、論文“Spectral approximation and numerical analysis for linearized MHD operates"を発表した。これは線型化MHD作用素スペクトルの近似問題を扱い数値実験結果も合せて報告したものである。分担者辻岡は関数解析的側面の成果として論文“On a hyperbolic equation in robotics with a singular foundary condition"を発表した。
