1次元カオスについての結果。(1)テント写像1-12x-11(0【.1toreq.】1)においては、初期値が(本質的に)少数点以下nけたの少数は、すべて同一の周期軌道を与えることがわかった。これは、コンピュータの画面上でカオスを観測するときに意味をもつもので、長島弘幸氏(静岡大教養部)との共著論文(裏面記載のもの)が現在印刷中である。(2)テント写像を含む、絶対連続な不変測度をもつような重要なクラスの写像について、リ・ヨークのscrambled setが(可測集合ならば)ルベーグ測度0になることがわかった。これは、チェコスロバキアのJ.Sml^^′tal(1983年)の結果を拡張するもので、高橋陽一郎氏(東大教養)、久保泉氏(広島大総合科学部)との共同研究による。現在論文執筆中である。J.Sml^^′talは、テント写像のとき非可測なscrambled setで外測度1のものの存在を示したが、このことも拡張可能で、多次元カオスにおいての主張に関する論文を準備中である。フラクタルについての結果。フラクタル図形を与える高木関数について、その不変測度がδ-測度になること、ランダム・ウォークの知られた結果とこの関数のグラフの自己相似性が結びつくことなどがわかったが、まだ結果をまとめる迄に至っていない。研究分担者の根来、小野、立川はそれぞれの成果を得て結果の発表を裏面の論文で行った。
