本研究はアラスカ湖沼産と日本産の黄金藻を比較検討し黄金藻の特徴を解明しようとするものである。1.材料:アラスカ極地湖沼からの試料;バロー地区、トーリク湖沼群スミス湖、パクソン湖沼群、キナイ半島湖沼群の5地域の計55湖沼から306点の試料を採集した。日本湖沼からの試料;本年新たに富士五湖、諏訪湖、六甲山泥地、那須深山湖の計6湖沼から52点の試料を採集した。2.現在までの結果:アラスカ試料について北端のバロー地区湖沼群から整理・検鏡を行っている。6月には各湖沼ともバクテリアが優占し、黄金藻は1種から多い湖(IBP池)で8種でParaphysomonas、Synura、Ochromonas各1種とPseudokephyrion2種が主要黄金藻であった。この時期、日照時間は24時間であるが、気温は0℃と低く、大きい湖は凍結し、小さい池沼では雪融け水を湛えていた。バクテリアによる分解活動の開始にともない、バクテリア捕食者の黄金藻のいくつかの種が出現したものである。7月には、黄金藻19種と6月の2倍の種が出現した。気温は5℃内外、水温は5〜10℃と上昇し、全湖沼に氷はなくなっていた。バクテリアが引続いて優占しMallomonas4種、Paraphysomonas3種、Spiniferomonas2種、Dinobryon、Epipyxis各1種が加わった。これらの種は、汎世界的分布をしめすものであるが、出現細胞数が少なく温帯域に出現するものとの形態変異の相違は認められなかった。7月にはこれまで世界未記録のいくつかの包嚢が見出された。これらの親生物を明らかにすることが本研究の重要な課題の一つに加えられた。また緑藻類など他の藻類は殆ど出現せず、このような黄金藻優占の種構成は日本では稀であり、北極域の藻類相の特徴の1つではないかと考えられ、この点もまた解明すべき新たな課題の1つになった。

This study compares the characteristics of Chrysosphaerophyta from lakes with those from Japan, and discusses the relationship between Chrysosphaerophyta and Chrysosphaerophyta. 1.
