本年度は、前年度に行った関東内陸部の産業建造物の現存所在調査を継続し、明治期建設の遺構については、ほぼ大要を把握した。この調査結果に基づき、産業建造物の調査方法を確立するための、ケ-ス・スタディとして、旧内務省勧業寮屑糸紡績所(現カネボウ食品工業新町工場:群馬県多野郡新町)を選び、一連の建造物の施工年等について、詳細な調査を行った。また、調査時に知り得た。煙草等専売に関連する建造物について、これ等が大蔵省営繕によって設計された点に注目し、その中での代表的建築家・妻木頼黄の事蹟を調査した。これ等から本年度は、次の様な具体的な研究実績をあげた。1.関東地方内陸部に現存する明治期の産業建造物について、ほぼその所在状況の概要を把握し、その年代(竣工)、設計者、建造物としての特徴を明瞭にする基礎研究を了えた。2.旧新町屑糸紡績所の調査によって、これまで確定していなかった現存建築の竣工年を明らかにした。また、この様な明治期の産業建造物の調査方法、分析方法などについての提言を行った。(この結果は『関東地方内陸部の産業施設についての近代建築技術史を軸とする調査研究ー内務省勧業寮屑糸紡績所の建築についてー』として研究報告にまとめた。3.妻木頼黄に関しては、初期の合衆国・コ-ネル大学で受けた教育に関する事蹟を明らかにした。以上の内、特に1.2.に関しては、現在、関東地方内陸部の明治期産業建造物の現存状況と特徴を記した報告書を作製中である。

This year, compared with the previous year, we conducted a survey on the existing locations of industrial buildings in the interior of Kanto, and grasped the major points of construction in the Meiji period. The results of this investigation include the establishment of basic research methods for industrial buildings, the selection of new food industry factories in Gunma, Tano Prefecture, and the detailed investigation of construction years. The investigation was carried out in a timely manner. The construction of tobacco and other related products is investigated. This year's research results are detailed. 1. Basic research to understand the status of existing Meiji industrial buildings in the Kanto region, their age (completion), designers, and characteristics. 2. A survey of the old and new buildings was conducted to determine the year of completion of the existing buildings. The investigation method and analysis method of industrial buildings in Meiji period shall be carried out according to the proposal. (The results of this study are "A survey of the history of modern architectural technology in the industrial facilities of the Kanto Inland Ministry" and a research report on the construction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. 3. The history of education in the early days of the United States of America 1.2. The present status and characteristics of Meiji industrial buildings in the interior of Kanto region are recorded in the report.
