本研究は申請時の研究計画では,実施年を3年としたが,単年度採用のため若干の変更を行った。交付申請書に記した如く,本年度の研究の基本目的は,民部・大蔵・内務・工部といった,我が国の近代産業移植に中心的な役割を果たした各寮司が設立(建設)した産業施設の現在遺構調査である。調査を行った遺構は全国に及ぶが,その主たるものを挙げれば,工部省ー・旧佐渡鉱山・旧生野鉱山 三池炭鉱 旧中小坂鉱山大蔵省ー旧富岡製糸所,内務省ー旧新町屑糸紡績所 旧下総種畜場 陸軍ー旧岩鼻火薬製造所等がある。これ等については遺構の実測調査,資料の所在確認等を行った。成果の一例を挙げれば,旧工部省系の現存遺構については,生野鉱山等でこれまで知られぬものを確認でき,富岡製糸所では初期の建設された横須賀製鉄所製の貯水漕等の実測を行なった。また新町屑糸紡績所では,明治10年の当初遺構の現存を確認した。これ等の成果の一部はすでに学会にて発表し,また一部地域ではリストも作製し発表している。概して言えば,明治期(特に明治初期)に設立された官営産業施設の遺構は初期に想定していた数よりもきわめて多く現存しており、また我が国の西欧建築技術導入史上看過できぬ貴重な遺構も数多いことが判明した。現在,その状況に関する現存遺構のリスト化を計画に従って作製中である。しかし,遺構の重要性より考え,より詳細な調査研究が必要であると考える。なぜならば,今年度の研究では,これまでなされなかった,何がどこにどのように残っているかという概要は把握したが,その中には重要遺構として調査が必要なものが,数多いからである。今後,建築史を軸とし他の技術分野とも共議を行ない我が国の技術導入史について分析を深めていきたいと考えている。

This year's research is not only necessary, but also necessary. From now on, the history of architecture will be divided into different technical fields and discussed together. The history of technology introduction in China will be analyzed deeply.
