一般病院の複雑な建物内部で多数の患者が迷い、また各所で自分の置かれている状況に関する情報欠如により長時間不安を抱きつつ待つという状態を建築計画的視点から見直すため以下のような調査と分析を現在までに実施した。1.「迷い」に関する調査・分析(1)診療手続のイメ-ジ調査:個人が持っている病院の枠組みについてのヒアリングを基にモデル的パタ-ンを抽出した。(2)診療手続の実態調査:国内12病院を対象に外来診療業務の流れの実際を備え付けのパンフレット等から読み取った。(3)外来診療関連部門配置調査:国内の45病院の平面図を基に検査・枚射線等の部門の配置パタ-ンを分析した。(4)受付業務実態調査:M病院の5ケ所の受付に調査員を配置し、患者と職員の応答を記録することにより案内の実態を分析した。(5)案内の実態調査:M病院の職員に依頼して一週間にわたり職員が院内で道案内した詳細が記録してもらい分析を実施した。2「待ち」に関する調査・分析(1)待合偏瞰図調査:M病院の外来待合(外待合・内待合)での患者の様子を15分隔で家具配置と共に記録し分析した。(2)患者の追跡調査:来院患者を調査員が追跡し、診察室入室までの行為・経路・動作を記録し、分析を実施した。(3)待合動態調査:M病院の外来待合の患者の動態をビデオカメラにより撮影し、患者の心理的変化の分析を実施した。以上の各調査・分析は相互に関連するものであるが、特に診療手続イメ-ジ調査やビデオカメラを利用した待合動態調査は研究手法としても新しもので今後継続して研究を進める必要性を感じた。

(3)Investigation on the allocation of external diagnosis and treatment related departments: basic investigation and analysis of the allocation of departments such as radiation in 45 hospitals in China (4)Payment status investigation: analysis of the status of the case in the 5 departments of M Hospital, including the allocation of investigators and the recording of patient and employee responses (5)Case investigation: The staff of M Hospital recorded and analyzed the case in detail according to the time of the week. 2. Investigation and analysis of "pending" related information (1) pending partial survey:M hospital's external waiting (external waiting and internal waiting), patient's child, 15 separate furniture configuration and total recording and analysis. (2)Patient tracking survey: The investigator tracks the behavior, route and action of the patient entering the examination room, and performs analysis. (3)Dynamic survey of waiting patients: dynamic analysis of waiting patients in M hospital The above investigation and analysis are interrelated, and the need for further investigation and analysis is felt.
