The initial aircraft conceptual design has traditionally been made with the help of the statistical treatment of the empirical data taken from the aircrafts currently in use. Aircrafts are sized to match the requirements both from the user and from the airworthiness regulations which are set just for safety. Sizings were done mostly by tedious trial-and-error method.The recent advances in computer technology, however, make it possible to perform the initial sizing of aircrafts while taking into account the aircraft detailed performance by using small computers. In the present research a method of sizing aircraft wings and fuselages optimized for performance is presented. The aerodynamic performances are computed by using the panel method and the optimum shapes are obtained through the nonlinear optimization.The classical sizing procedure using the empirical data is also programed for personal computer in BASIC language. Unification with the aerodynamic optimization program remains to be a future problem.
传统上,最初的飞机概念设计是借助于对现有飞机的经验数据进行统计处理来完成的。飞机的尺寸要符合用户的要求和适航条例的要求,适航条例是为了安全而制定的。以往的飞机尺寸设计大多采用繁琐的试错法,但随着计算机技术的发展,可以利用小型计算机进行飞机的初始尺寸设计,同时考虑到飞机的详细性能。在目前的研究中,提出了一种方法来确定飞机机翼和机身的性能优化。采用面元法计算气动性能,通过非线性优化获得最佳外形,并利用经验数据编制了经典的定尺程序,在个人计算机上用BASIC语言编程。与气动优化程序的统一仍是未来的问题。
