正常者ならびに各種喉頭疾患患者の音声を,DATレコ-ダに録音,記録した。また詳細な病歴,喉頭所見を記録し,電子計算機に入力して基本デ-タベ-スを作った。次いで録音した音声を再生し,信号処理ソフトウエアILSの管理下にA/D変換器DASBOX12に入力してディジタルデ-タに変換し,光磁気ディスクCAー6080MOに記録した。このディジタルデ-タにつき,ソフトウエアILSの管理下にケプストラム分析を行い,結果を光磁気ディスクに貯えると共に,図形としてXーYプロツタ上に出力させた。得られたケプストラムの優位ピ-クの高さを計測し、基本周期,ピ-ク数等の情報と共に基本デ-タベ-スに追加記録した。一方,DATレコ-ダの音声を再生し,各被験者ごとに日本音声言語医学会制定のGRBAS尺度による聴覚心理的評価を行い,結果を記録した。デ-タベ-ス管理ソフトウエアを用いて基本デ-タベ-スを多角的に検討し、ケプストラム優位ピ-クの高さと疾患,喉頭所見,聴覚心理的評価成績などとの関係を綜合的に検討した。その結果,一側反回神経麻痺,声門癌など,高度の嗄声を伴う喉頭疾患においては、ケプストラム優位ピ-クの高さが著明に低下することが確認された。また中等度の嗄声を伴う喉頭ポリ-プ等の疾患においても、優位ピ-クの高さが低下するが,手術的治療によって嗄声が恢復すると、優位ピ-クの高さも恢復することが示された。聴覚心理的評価上嗄声度の高いものでは、ケプストラム優位ピ-クの高さが低い傾向があったが、各種聴覚心理的評価値と、優位ピ-クの高さとの関係は、単純ではなかった。
