1.母と子との相互関係を把捉する基礎資料を得るために.(1)子ども一般に関するイメ-ジ(感じ,思い,連想),(2)妊娠,出育,育児についての実情と母親の感想・実感,自信,育児方針,困り事とその相談,悩み,などの諸事項を調査検討した。対象は,宮城県全域の母親と子どもの中から抽出した。子どもの年齢は0〜3歳の4群である。(1)については,目下に因子分析法によっても検討を重ねているが,これまでの単純集計とその結果の検討によれば,一般に母親は,自分の子どもに対して強い母性意識をもち,子どもを慈しむ態度をとるが,他方子どもの短所もよく認識していることが示され,単純に可愛さのような感情のみをもって対応するのではなく,とりわけ年齢が長ずるに伴ってその傾向が強くなることが推察された。従って,そのような傾向にひそむ因子,子どもへのイメ-ジの要素を今後に因子分析により取り出すつもりである。(2)については.母親は,当初は子どもの育児に漠然とした不安をいだき十分な自信はもたないが,子どもの年齢が長ずるにつれて,その不安や悩みが局在化し,自信の在りかが細分化する様子が伺われ,育児方針も具体化の方向をとることが知られた。2.母と子との相互作用(やりとり)の実際を観察したところでは,一般に母親は,子どもの一挙一動に目を配り,その行動に適切な応答を与えること,それが各年齢に共通して認められること,などがわかった。なお,本研究は.次年度も継続して行い,結果を総合的にまとめる予定である。(平成4年6月・日本家族心理学会に発表の予定)。
