First aim of this study was to investigate what ability, traist, attitudes were important for junior high-school students and undergraduate students. Results showed that they attached importance to personality /behavior first and ability second.Second aim was to examine effects of stability of task performance on closeness to others, task relevance to self, and task choice. Results suggested that as evaluation standards were unstable, self-protect or self-enhancement was dominant, and as the standards were stable, self-assessment was dominant.

本研究的目的在探讨国中生与大学生的能力、特质、态度的重要性。研究结果表明，被试首先重视人格/行为，其次重视能力。第二个目的是考察任务执行的稳定性对与他人的亲密度、与自我的任务相关性和任务选择的影响。结果表明，当评价标准不稳定时，自我保护或自我提高占主导地位;当评价标准稳定时，自我评价占主导地位。
