1、樺太・千島の主要遺跡地名表、主要遺跡分布図の作成樺太(110ヵ所),千島(50ヵ所)の新石器時代主要遺跡を選び、遺跡地名表、遺跡分布図を作成した。2、樺太・千島の新石器時代文献目録の作成戦前、戦後の樺太・千島における新石器文化に関する文献目録(日本語文献320点、ロシア語文献70点)を作成した。3、樺太・千島新石器時代遺物の資料調査及び集成東京大学鳥居龍蔵コレクション、国立歴史民俗博物館山田繁造北方コレクション、帯広百年記念館松井彦松コレクションなどの観察、実測、撮影などを行ない、資料集成のための基礎作業を行なった。4、船木鉄太郎樺太考古資料目録の原稿作成戦前の樺太西海岸地方において、船木鉄太郎が採集した未整理の考古資料(17遺跡、約760点)の資料目録作成のため、土器の拓本、実測、写真撮影、分類、注記を完了させ、遺跡との関係や遺物の特徴を記載した原稿を完成させた。5、樺太考古学史の調査戦前の樺太考古学研究史のなかに、船木鉄太郎の位置づけを行ない、あわせて船木鉄太郎と交渉のあった大坊善章、木村信六ら在島考古学研究者の業績を明らかにした。6、択捉島における戦後の遺跡研究状況の調査サハリン州郷土博物館上級研究員、M.M,プロコフィエフ氏の調査した「択捉島遺跡調査報告」の主要部分を翻訳した。特にオーリヤIV遺跡の年代測定を行ない、出土した土器とともに発表のための準備作業を行った。
