1.本研究は、プログラミング言語prologを用いて現代フランス語の重要な構文を自動解析するプログラムを作成するという「実践面」と、これを通して、構文の中心的担い手である動詞の統辞・意味論的諸特性を研究するという「理論面」という、ふたつの研究目的を持つ。2.第一章では、TENIEREに始まる「動詞結合価」の理論的基盤、とりわけ、「基本的補語」と「状況補語」(=「非基本的補語」)の区別の妥当性を、これまでに提案された幾つかの基準に照らして考察した。この2種類の補語の区別は、実際、いかなる結合価理論においても前提とされていると言えるが、区別を一挙に明確にするに足る基準は見いだしがたい。我々は、ある基本文全体の意味解釈ならぴにその文の動詞の用法に貢献するものを基本補語とするという、MELISの大原則を認め、個々の動詞をその用法ごとに記述しタイプ分けする方法が実際的と考える。一方、様々な状況補語については、それが基本文とその諸要素からいかなる生起の制限を受けるかを明確にしなければならない。3.第二章では、理論的枠組みは異なるものの上述の原則をフランス語の動詞記述に実践的に適用したと言えるM.GROSSらの「語彙文法」の研究成果を参照し、基本文を補足節を含む文に限定して、構文タイプごとに補語の統辞・意味的特性を具体的例文にあたって検討した。語彙文法の理論では補足節を含む文は「二文変形」から成るものであり、基本文の埋め込み(再帰)を含むだけに、計算機上での自動分析の試みに面白みを加えるからでもある。4.第三章では、我々の試作したprologによる補足節構文の分析結果を提示した。トップ・ダウン型分析法によるこのプログラムは構成素を基本的形式単位とし、より抽象的な機能単位は含んでいないが、分析結果を読みやすくするために、便宜的に直接・間接補語などの機能的ラベルを出力するモジュールを含んでいる。また、不定詞節の「意味上の主語」や代名詞の「先行詞」なども分析出力し、文の意味解釈への試みも示した。今後、補足節を持たない動詞についても語彙部を充実させ、状況補語を取り込むところまで至ることができれば、より現実的で興味ある文の分析に近づくことができるであろう。なお、第四章にはプログラムの主要部分と語彙部のサンプルを提示した。

The purpose of this study is to study the characteristics of the semantic theory of verbs in the context of the application of speech prolog to the automatic analysis of important structures of modern Chinese verbs. 2.
