项目摘要

pー円分体のpー類群のxー成分の構造決定は1世紀以上にわたる難問であるが、Ribet,MazurーWiles,Kolyvagin等の最近の仕事により,その位数(order)が決定された。しかし、彼らの方法はxー成分の構造(例えば、そのpーrank)については何の情報も与えない。今年度のわれわれの研究も最終的な解答には到達しなかったが、以下のような諸結果が得られた:1.ヤコビの和の分析により、それが直接的に円単数と結びついていることが明らかとなった。2.HilbertのSatz91はあまり引用されることのない定理であるが、われわれはその証明を詳細に分析することによって、p^n次巡回拡大K/kの単数群の構造に関する結果[単数のp^m巾を無視するとガロア群の作用が分かる形の構造定理(但し、m≧1は任意で、p^n>γ+1とする。γはkの基本郁数の数である)]を得た。この構造定理の応用は広いと思われる。3.コンピュ-タ計算により、指数pに関するフェルマ-最終定理の第一の場合が成立しないならば、27個の連続するベルヌイ数B_<pー3>,B_<pー5>,‥…,B_<pー55>がpで割り切れることを示した。これまでの結果は22個の連続するベルヌイ数の整除性であったので(Keller and Loh,1983)、われわれはこ記録を5個伸ばした訳である。実は、28番目のある整数(78桁)が素因数分解出来れば、さらに32個の連続するベルヌイ数の整除性が従うというところまで追い詰めてあるのである。そしてpを十分きく取れば、45個の連続するベクヌイ数の整除性も従うことが分かった。今後のわれわれの研究目標は、1.の結果と2.の構造定理とを結び付けて、pー円分体上に直接不分岐ア-ベル拡大を構成することである。
