本研究の参加者は,各専門分野に於いて精力的に研究に從事し,裏面記載の如き結果を得た。内容的には課題と密接に関連したものも或いは必ずしもそうでないものもあって多様であるが,全体として満足すべき成果であった。以下に各論文の概要を記して報告書としたい。(1) 上半平面に於いてNevanlinna class及びSmirnar classを導入し,種々の性質を明かにした。また,これらが単位円上の対応するクラスと線形等距離になりえないことを示した。(2) 基本的なタイプの2次元非有界Reinhardt領域に対して,正則同値問題を解決した。これは,有界な場合の正則同値問題を一般化した形である。(3) 有限次元matrix algebraに関するgohberg,Lancaster,Rodmenの予想について,n≧4の場合にはn=7,11を除いて反例が知られていた。本論文では,n=7,11の場合の反例を作った。(4) 数年來の懸案となっていたことであるが,行列環の正値写像に関連した巡回不等式を証明した。(5) 偶数次元の土橋cuspに関して,符号数不足指数と或る不変量に対して成立する関係式を証明した。これは,cuspがヒルベルトモジュラ-型の場合に,Hirzebruch予想の別証明を与えるものである。(6) 或る準線形放物型方程式の境界値問題の解は時間と共に0に収束するが,本論文では,Fourier級数の初頃が満たす保存量を利用して,振幅が0に収束する様子を更に詳しくしらべた。
