本年度の研究成果は以下の3点に要約できる。1.偏ネットモデルによるネットワーク成長分析ネットワークの形成過程は地域の地理的特性、社会経済的特性に依存し、地域特有の偏りをもつ、本研究では地域の偏りパラメータを組み込んだネットワーク成長モデルを作成し、ランダム成長過程との比較分析を行った。その結果、ネットワークの成長の速度、拡大の範囲は、ノート間の結びつきが強い程(偏りが大きい程)遅く、かつ小さくなることが明らかにされた。このことは、ネットワークへの投資が局所的であればある程、偏ったネットワークの形成が進行し、地域全体の成長にはマイナス要因になることを示している。今後、フラクタル分析を応用したネットワーク形成過程との比較分析への展開が可能である。2.ネットワーク効果の分析従来、ネットワーク効果の表現は時間短縮便益として測定されてきた。しかし、こうした便益がネットワーク構造のどの部分によってもたらされるのかは明らかにされてこなかった。本研究では、ネットワーク構造を表現する5つの指標を作成し、その変化が利用者便益に与える影響を分析した。その結果、最も大きな影響を与えるが回路の数、いい換えれば代替路の数であることを明らかにした。しかし、既存ネットワークにどういう形でリンクを付与すれば最も効果的に代替路を増加できるのかという点までには言及できなかった。3.ネットワーク効果の視覚的表現法ネットワークへの投資効果を利用者便益という単一指標のみで表現するのは不十分である。本研究ではネットワークパターン全体の変化を視覚的に表現する時間地図作成手法を開発し、ネットワーク効果を多角的に分析する基礎を与えた。
