1.本研究の対象地域とした滋賀県南部における入会林野の利用では、ひとつの水系を単位とする農業生産の共同体としての郷(村落連合)が管理組織としての主体の役割を担う例が多いことが分かった。2.江戸時代において、入会林野は郷の管理によって利用が統制され、郷の発行する「山札」と呼ばれる鑑札をもつ者のみに利用を許すことで資源の枯渇を防いでいた。当時の入会林野は、燃料用の柴や肥料用の草を採取するために利用されることが多かった。3.明治時代も半ばを過ぎると、木材価値の上昇や国土保全の観点から、入会林野において造林を推進しようとする気運が高まってきた。ところが、造林に強く反対する人々が存在していたことが分かった。造林に反対する人々は、柴草の採取を入会林野に大きく依存する人々であった。4.明治時代の入会林野における造林の推進派と反対派の存在によって、当時の入会林野利用は、郷の住民が一様に利用していたのではないことが明らかになった。5.今後は、「山札」の交付を受けていた者が、村落構造の中でどのような位置を占めていたかを明らかにし、入会林野の利用が柴草の採取から木材の生産へと変化していった時代における入会林野の利用構造を村落社会の構造と関連づけて分析したい。

In the future, the delivery of "mountain trees" will be affected by the changes in the village structure, the location of the village structure will be occupied, the use of forest and field, the collection of firewood, the production of wood, the transformation of the era, the use of forest and field structure, the analysis of the relationship between village structure and society.
