(1)統計的手法を用いた看護評価の重要性均質な看護サービスを提供するためには臨床看護の現場で用いる基準を作成することが必要となる。本研究を通してこの基準作成上、直接的基準(滴下調節基準)と管理基準(患者のリスクレベルと看護業務形態を考慮した観察および処置間隔の基準)の2つを作成することが、術後トラブル防止上(カテーテル閉塞率減少)および医療経済学上(1日使用洗浄液量減少・洗浄期間減少)効果的であることが示唆された。またこのような臨床看護の評価を行うためには、看護基準以外にも結果に寄与すると考えられる他の介入因子(例:治療・生物的因子等)を説明変数に加える必要があり、多変量解析の手法が必須であると判断された。(2)臨床看護現場における情報処理環境の整備の必要性統計的手法を用いて看護基準の評価を行うためには、日々の業務の中で自然にデータが蓄積され、一定期間が経過すると解析に移行できるような情報処理環境が必要であると示唆された。また本研究を通して、看護基準を作成・実施・修正する作業は、倫理的な側面からかなりの期間を要すると推測された。このような条件の中で科学的な基準作成を行うためのモデルを仮定し、高機能電子手帳とノートパソコンを用いて実験した。回収されたデータの解析支援ソフトは共同研究として現在開発中である。現在市販されている高機能電子手帳は操作性の点で問題が多いが、今後このような軽量携帯型端末は開発が予定されている。今後、看護業務に活用できる仕様にはどのようなニーズが存在するか、検討する必要がある。
