项目摘要

1.本研究は、オブジェクト指向をベースとし、複数のプロセスが異なるノードで協調しながら一つの処理を実行するような新たな分散処理システムにおいて、プロセスをどのノードで実行すればよいかを決定する際に、「対象ノードとの距離」、「対象ノードの稼働状況」および「投入プロセスの質量」の3つの評価尺度を用いて最適な動的負荷分散を行おうとするものである。2.平成5年度は、動的負荷分散の例題として、プリンタへの出力要求が発生した時に、ネットワーク内につながるプリンタのうち最も空いているプリンタへ自動的に出力する、プリンタ出力処理の動的負荷分散の実現を試みた。3.UNIXの1pqコマンドを用いて、各プリンタ用のスプールディレクトリに溜まっている「処理要求数」および「処理するファイルのバイト数」を取り出し、この積と、新たに投入する処理要求のバイト数および予め分かっているプリンタの性能とから、最も速く出力できるプリンタを決定するアルゴリズムを考案した。この機能をフィルタプログラムとして実現して(1)UNIXにおいてプリンタ出力を行う際に、このフィルタプログラムを通す。(2)PC-NFSにおいてリモートプリンタへの出力を行う際に、プリンタデ-モン中でこのフィルタプログラムを実行する。このようにして、プリンタ出力処理の動的負荷分散を試みた。4.今後は、投入プロセスの質量の定量的評価方法を検討する予定である。
