技術理性の批判という課題に引き続きとりくむにあたって、今年度は、主としてカントの『判断力批判』の第一部「美感的判断力の批判」のうちに、技術理性批判の含意を探ることに努めた。当初は、天才の芸術のうちに自然と技術との合致を求めるカントの天才論に注目して、現代の技術概念の根本的な見直しを図る予定であったが、当該テキスト全体の綿密な読解の過程で、自然美を捉える「純粋趣味判断」の概念のうちに、天才論に先立ってすでに、近代の技術的存在規定に対する批判的意義が含まれていることが判明した。すなわち、自然科学を初めとする近代の知は、自然の事物を「原因・結果」と「目的・手段」の技術的概念規定の枠組みの中に取り込むことによって、物を人間知性の支配下に収めようとしているのに対し、自然美の観想とは、そのような技術的規定性から自由になった人間主体と自然事物との出会いの事柄にほかならないのである。報告者は、カントの純粋趣味批判の分析論をこのように解釈し、その研究成果を所属研究会で発表したうえで、「自然美の批判的意義--カントの純粋趣味判断を手引きにして--」と題する論文に仕上げた。今後さらに、カントの崇高論と天才論とを、技術理性の美感的批判の継続として解釈してゆくことにしたい。また、ハイデッガ-の技術論や芸術論、あるいはアドルノの美学理論の研究を通じて、カント哲学を手引きにした技術理性批判の構想を補強する論点を探ることにしたい。なお、以上の主要作業に加えて、今年度は、フランクフルト学派のテキストや美学・芸術論・美学史関係の文献等の収集に努め、今後の研究に備えた。さらに、現代の環境倫理学の議論を批判的に検討する作業を継続した。

The author of this paper presented the results of his research to the research institute, entitled "The significance of criticism of natural beauty--the judgment of pure interest." In the future, the theory of sublimity and genius, the theory of technical rationality and the theory of aesthetic criticism will be solved. This paper discusses the theory of aesthetics, philosophy and technical rationality. This year, the school of aesthetics, art theory, literature on the relationship between aesthetics and history, etc. Today, the discussion of modern environmental ethics is a critical one.
