実験には、体重約5kgの幼犬15頭を使用した。広背筋から栄養血管を受ける部位の上部側胸壁皮膚を用いskin tubeを作成。そのskin tubeを第4肋間より開胸後、第2肋間より胸腔内に誘導し、切除した食道部(約2椎体分)にinterpositionした。その結果、11頭が生存(2頭が吻合不全、1頭が術後出血、1頭が原因不明にて死亡)した。術後、定期的に行われた食道造影、食道内視鏡検査で、吻合部の狭窄は全例に認められなかった。しかし、skin tube内の体毛が多い症例もあり、今後それが内腔狭窄の原因となる可能性もあるため経過観察が必要である以上より、本法がlong-gap型の食道閉鎖症に対する新たな術式になりうる可能性が示唆された。

15 puppies weighing about 5kg were used. The skin tube of the upper chest wall of the dorsal tendon is used to make the skin tube. The skin tube is cut into the chest at the 4th intercostal space and into the esophagus at the 2nd intercostal space. Among them, 11 survived (2 had incomplete anastomosis, 1 had postoperative hemorrhage, 1 died of unknown cause). Postoperative, regular esophagography, esophageal endoscopy, anastomotic stricture and all cases were identified. There are many cases of body hair in the skin tube, and the possibility of finding the cause of lumen stenosis in the future is indicated.
