项目摘要

1.研究の方法(1)日本語使用状況調査研究留学生が大学院における研究活動に際して求められる日本語の内容とレベルを知るため、留学生受け入れ教官と日本語予備教育受講経験者(留学生)の双方に対して質問紙調査を実施した。その結果教官側は日常生活に不自由しない程度とする回答が多かったのに対し留学性側はそれよりやや高いレベルを必要と感じていることがわかった。4技能中では「話す」能力への期待が相対的に高かった。(2)試験の方法と内容上記の調査から、修了生は研究室における日本人との円滑な人間関係を維持する能力及び指導教官に対しては円滑な人間関係を維持しつつ許可・依頼などの言語行動を成功させる能力が必要であると考え、これら能力を測定するため日本語教師との面接とロールプレイを試験形式、日常的話題・彼我の文化比較・ゼミ欠席の許可をとる課題などを試験内容とした。(3)評定の方法全米外国語教育協会によって開発された「日本語口頭能力面接試験」を参照し、機能・内容・談話構成・発音・語彙・文レベルの文法・会話の管理力・流暢さ・社会言語学的処理能力の9項目を評定の対象とし、それぞれに設けた下位項目の評定値を合算する方法を採用した。2.実施の結果上記の試験の全部または一部を岡山大学、東京工業大学、東京外国語大学、筑波大学、名古屋大学において1994年9月に実施した。実施結果を分析したところ(1)面接官の発問形式 (2)面接方法 (3)評定方法に多くの問題があることがわかった。3.今後の課題上述の問題点のうち(3)評定方法の改善が急務である。課題の期間中に完了できず、目下作業を進めている。
