1 史料の収集オランダ国立中央文書館所蔵連合東インド会社文書(VOC)より「インドよりの到着文書集」(overgecomen brieven uit Indie)1641年〜1650年の分のマイクロフィルム30リ-ル、約21,000コマを入手し、1644年から1646年の分については焼き付けを作成した。2 詳細目録及びデータ・ベースの作成一年分の文書の作成・伝達状況を明確にすることを第一の課題とし、(1)日本商館文書(NFJ)、連合東インド会社文書のうち(2)「バタフィア発信文書控簿」、(3)「インドよりの到着文書集」のうちから、残存史料に比較的欠落が少ないと考えられる1644年分の簿冊を中心に、データ・ベースソフト『桐』を用いて、詳細目録の作成、入力に着手した。目録の項目は、文書の種類、正本と写の別、作成年月日、差出人、差出地、受取人、受取地、経由船、経由地、フォリオまたはページ、簿冊名及び番号、現蔵番号、マイクロフィルム番号、備考である。3 今後の課題:現在1644年分の入力を進行中であるが。作業を通じ、文書の移動を情報の流れとして捉えてゆく上で既に失われた文書をどう位置づけるのかに問題を感じた。今後は、データの蓄積を進めるとともに、同時期に作成された送付文書や受領文書の記録とも対照を行い、現存はしない文書をも視野に入れつつ、文書(=情報)の流れを解明してゆきたい、具体的には、1644年以降のポルトガル船の長崎来航に関する情報、1645年の総督ファン・ディーメンの死亡前後の情報に着目している。

1 Collection of historical materials The National Central Document Museum holds a collection of official documents (VOC) from 1641 to 1650, about 21,000 copies, and from 1644 to 1646. 2.
