项目摘要

科研費交付の決定を受け、代表者・分担者間の連絡用にメーリングリスト(sogo-b@clc. hyper. chubu. ac. jp)を設定し、インターネットを利用した電子メールによる密接な打ち合わせを開始した。メッセージの交換は、年度末までに695通に達した。5月13日に第1回研究打ち合わせを中部大学で行い、ワークショップの開催を決定した。7月1日、中部大学でワークショップ「インターネットを利用した語学教育」を開催し、約100人の参加者を得た。ワークショップでの議論をより発展させるため、インターネットと語学教育の関わりを考えるメーリングリスト、"net-lang"を開始した。インターネットを経由して国内外の多数の研究者、社会人の参加を得て活発な議論を日常的に展開し、年度末までの8カ月間で1150通あまりのメッセージが流れた。参加者は160人にのぼっている。8月に研究打ち合わせを行い、シンポジウムの準備を進めた。9月にWWW上にホームページを開設し、研究集会のアナウンス、研究成果の報告等を開始した。(http: //langue. hyper. chubu. ac.jp/sogo-b/)"net-lang"での日常的な議論をふまえ、10月14日に東海大学湘南キャンパスにおいてシンポジウム「インターネットと語学教育-今何が始まっているのか-」を開催した。100人近い参加者を得て、パネルディスカッションの他に分科会を行った。シンポジウム終了後、本研究の分担者および国内を代表する当該分野の研究者が集まり、将来の共同研究について打ち合わせを行った。この中で研究グループ(19名)を構成し、日常的な情報交換のためのメーリングリスト"sogo-a"を設定した。議論を重ねる中で研究テーマを設定し、平成8年度科学研究費総合研究(A)に応募した。また、年間の研究成果を収録したCD-ROMを作成し、国内外の研究者に配布するとともに、WWW上でも情報提供を続けている。
