项目摘要

平成7年の研究実績の概要平成7年度総合B「脳研究の総合的推進」の班会議平成8年2月29日に教育会館において開催し、下記の点を討議した。1、平成7年度の脳研究推進のための広報活動1)脳の世紀シンポジュームを平成7年9月13日に約1000名の参加者をえて虎ノ門ホールで開催した。2)平成7年度大学と科学公開シンポジュームを平成7年2月1-2日に約800名の参加者をえて朝日ホールで開催した。いずれのシンポジュームも極めて盛会で、脳に対する一般社会の関心の深さを反映いているように思われる。さらに、この種の広報活動を継続し、脳研究の重要性を社会に訴える必要がある。2、平成8年の広報活動脳の世紀シンポジュームを平成8年10月2日に虎ノ門ホールで開催する。3、脳研究の推進学術会議、学術審議会等で脳研究を21世紀の重要研究課題として推進するなどの決定があり、各省庁もワーキンググループ等を組織して、これに応えようとしている。これらの動きを統合してより効果的な脳研究推進策を実現することが望ましい。脳研究推進の柱となる研究助成は大学・研究所にサイエンス・マネージメントの思想を導入し、人事の流動化を促すなど、研究システムの見直しと改革に方向性を与えるものが望ましい。
